Overview
RE.MA.C. brings together native language students, migrant students and mainstream (language) teachers to collaboratively engage in common intercultural, language learning and teaching tasks using new and emergent technologies and digital tools by applying a blended learning model. The main purpose of this objective is to create learning and teaching material on the basis of thematic topics found in textbooks of the corresponding countries to form a mainstream classroom that will provide fair learning opportunities to all students, and at the same time create a class and, eventually, a school, where students, and teachers are able to understand, respect and accept everyone, regardless of any form of diversity.
Aim
Throughout this project, the aim is to tackle the challenges and difficulties (language) mainstream teachers face trying to address students’ diversified needs and interests.
Objectives
- Developing and implementing online interactive material based on the teaching and learning needs of both mainstream language teachers and migrant students using the MILAGE learn+ platform and app.
- Train mainstream language teachers in teaching SL in mainstream classrooms using the project’s dynamic online platform and overall educational material.
- Developing and implementing intercultural material, and eventually implementing intercultural tools across the curriculum by using the project’s platform and app and overall educational material.
- Training mainstream primary teachers using the project’s dynamic online platform and overall educational material in mainstream primary classrooms.

CARDET (Centre for Advancement of Research and Development in Educational Technology) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental, research and development organisation based in Cyprus. It is one of the leading research and development centres in the Euro-Mediterranean region, with global expertise in project design and implementation, capacity building, and e-learning. CARDET is independently affiliated with universities and institutions from around the world, such as Yale University, the University of Nicosia, and the International Council of Educational Media. CARDET has completed numerous projects relating to the development of capacity building and planning in education and VET, youth support, adult learning, literacies, digital tools, e-learning, educational technology, and social integration of marginalised groups.

Democritus University of Thrace (DUTh) was established in 1973 in Thrace, Greece. Due to its strategic location, close to the EU members of Bulgaria and Romania, the candidate countries of North Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey, and at a major crossroads between EU, Asia and Russia, DUTh has a decisive role promoting Education, Research and Development in the broader South Eastern Europe through a large number of regional networks it has established. Moreover, DUTh cooperates with several Universities and Research Organizations outside Europe, around the world.

The University of the Algarve (UAlg) is a public higher education institution, founded in 1979, where the polytechnic education and university education systems cohabit. It is located in the Southern region of Portugal, specifically in the Algarve. With about 9000 students enrolled in the 2021/22 school year, about 22% of the registered students are international, from around 80 different countries and around 1300 staff (teachers, employees and researchers). UAlg educational offer consists of the 1st cycle courses (44) taught in Portuguese, 2nd cycle courses (63) also taught in English, of which 5 are joint international Master courses Erasmus Mundus, and doctoral programs (19), 3rd cycle in different scientific areas – science and technology, management and economics, marine and earth sciences, social sciences and, health and well-being.

CESIE is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation based in Palermo (Italy) and established in 2001. CESIE is committed to promote the cultural, social, educational and economic development at local, national, European and international levels. CESIE contributes to growth and development through the active participation of people, civil society and institutions, always valuing diversity. Inspired by the work and life of Danilo Dolci, we focus our actions on the research of social needs and challenges and the use of innovative learning approaches.

SOS Malta is a registered Voluntary Organisation, set up in 1991, which works with local and international partners. The organisation assists socially disadvantaged groups in improving their quality of life by providing support services and opportunities to implement development and change. SOS Malta also encourages advocacy on behalf of social causes and promotes models of good care and practice. SOS Malta works on five pillars that encompass the above objectives. These are: Social Solidarity; Volunteering; Overseas Development; Research and Training and Fund Operator of EEA and Norway Grants specifically assigned for NGOs.
